Our Parent/Toddler program provides a unique opportunity for young children to begin the lifelong journey of inquiry and exploration with the safe support of a trusted adult. Together we observe, hypothesize, and experiment to bring about the highest quality of learning experience for both the parent and child. Group experiences stretch and engage children with language, literacy, music, dramatic play, and social-emotional growth. Our goal, through observation, is to honor the wisdom in each child and parent on their journey together.

Summer camps at GreenHouse are in April & May. Themes are chosen to spark your child’s imagination and turn problem solving and skill building into a fun activity.

Our program is designed to create age-specific activities, play places and personal spaces for infant, toddler, preschool children in a safe and nurturing environment. Our goal is to strengthen the bridge between your work and family life by creating a special place that supports them both.

The Reggio Emilia Approach is an innovative and inspiring approach to early childhood education which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. Every child brings with them deep curiosity and potential and this innate curiosity drives their interest to understand their world and their place within it and arrive at various conclusions which deepens their learnings. In Reggio settings there is an emphasis on carefully displaying and documenting children’s thoughts and progression of thinking; making their thoughts visible in many different ways: photographs, transcripts of children’s thoughts and explanations, visual representations (drawings, sculptures etc.), all designed to show the child’s learning process. We work with these guidelines to observe and document the child’s thought process thereby capturing their understanding and learning.

Young children love to ask questions. Questions are also a powerful tool for educators to promote children’s thinking and learning. When children are able to pose questions and investigate the answers, they feel in charge of their own learning. As we use the Inquiry-based approaches to learning, we harness this spirit of investigation, creating an interesting, engaging and meaningful curriculum that uses children’s interests and questions as a starting point for effective learning. We also ensure that they are exposed to relevant open ended questions that are thought provoking and stimulate them to think and share their views.
